Ato Menberetsehai Tadesse is the vice-president of the Federal Supreme Court of Ethiopia, Addis Ababa. The presentation of Ato Menberetsehai Tadesse will deal with the use of ICT in the judiciary in Ethiopia. He will discuss opportunities and challenges and based on the Ethiopian experiences will provide best practices.

Mrs. Heidrun Peters is the Head of Language and Media Centre of the Greifswald University, Germany. She is a reader in language and media didactics and coordinator of various Tempus projects funded by the EU dealing with curricula development in higher education in the field of law in Siberian universities.

Mr. Michael M.Murungi is currently working as a law Reporter with the Kenya Law Reports of the National Council for Law Reporting, Nairobi, Kenya. In his talk, mr. Murungi will discuss the aims and ambitions of the Kenya Law Reports <http://www.kenyalaw.org> and the vision of the Kenya National Council for Law Reporting to provide the latest and most relevant case law and other legal information by means of this initiative.

Mr. Reinhardt Buys is an attorney and managing director with Buys Inc. Attorneys Cape Town, South Africa. He specializes in Internet, Media and IPR law. Mr. Buys will give a talk on the challenges South Africa faces with identity theft, the measures taken and the future challenges, also in light of the 2010 Soccer World Cup.

Dr. Andreas Mitrakas is Head of Administration at the European Network and Information Security Agency (ENISA). He has previously been Legal Adviser at ENISA, Legal Practices Manager at Ubizen (a Cybertrust company) and General Counsel at GlobalSign, (Vodafone Group). He has been consulted in numerous security implementations in eBusiness, aBanking and eGovernment. He has published extensively and he has recently co-edited the volume Secure eGovernment Web services (IGI Publishing, 2007). He holds a doctorate in electronic commerce and the law from Erasmus University of Rotterdam, a Master's in computers and law from Queen's University of Belfast , a Diploma in Project Management from ParisTech and a law degree from the University of Athens .

Dr. Rahel Bekele is currently assistant professor and chairperson of the Department of Library Science at the School of Information Studies for Africa (Addis Ababa, Ethiopia). She obtained her M.Sc in Information Science in 1992 and B.Sc in Statistics in 1988 from Addis Ababa University, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. In her talk mrs. Bekele will discuss a project that aims to develop e-learning modules in the several legal domains (intellectual property rights, labor law) that can be used by judges, attorneys and other lawyers.

Dr. Katherine Getao is a Lecturer, Computer Science at the School of Computing and Informatics of the University of Nairobi, Nairobi, Kenya. Dr. Getao specialises in artificial Intelligence Systems for computer Aided Manufacturing. In her talk mrs. Getao will discuss the initiatives on the development of a electronic portal for African and other women from developing countries to access information on the Millennium Development Goals.

Sonia Camacho holds a LLB of the University of Sheffield, United Kingdom and specialises in issues related to ID-theft. Mrs. Camacho will present a study she conducted on a comparative analyses of government initiatives and legislation to combat ID-theft in the United States, United Kingdom and South Africa
