The past decade has been witness to a spate of activities in creating new opportunities, generating employment, making entrepreneurs, triggering creativity and lowering the barriers for virtually anyone with a desire, skill, focus and passion to create wealth and prosperity in their environment. Altogether it has empowered a new generation and extended the frontiers of prosperity. However, only a fraction of its potential is currently being realized. The Economic Opportunities Commission looks forward to exploring and analyzing new areas that developing societies can benefit from in further empowering the poor.
