George Sadowsky received an A.B. degree with honors in Mathematics from Harvard College and M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in Economics from Yale University. He was the Executive Director of GIPI (Global International Policy Initiative) and earlier worked for the United Nations Secretariat during 1973-1986 where he supported technical assistance projects and has worked in more than 50 developing countries.  He has been a consultant to,/ inter alia/, the U.S. Treasury Department, the U.S.
Congressional Budget Office, UNDP, USAID, W3C, the Swiss Government, the World Bank and a number of foundations and has been on the Board of various organizations with technology , development and education focus.  He has written and lectured extensively on ICT and development.
